We’re a group of authors and readers who rallied together after seeing the wave of books and stories created by, or heavily influenced by AI out there on sale. For us who believe an author leaves a part of their soul on the pages, it left us with a bitter taste in our mouths. That part of an author informs the reader in its own unique way, the experiences, the wisdom and even the suffering of that person. AI cannot and shouldn’t try to replicate this magic and readers deserve to be informed of this.
We’re not here to discredit AI - it has its place, and it can be a wonderful, time-saving tool. Like you, we use it for all aspects of our life but as in any creative field, it shouldn’t be used to create the art itself. That should be reserved solely for the human, and we’re here to promote that way of thinking.
